Jerry Reed has been calling since 1978 and is an accredited member of CALLERLAB, the International Association of Square Dance Callers.  Jerry is licensed by BMI and ASCAP and is an established and respected caller with a very diverse background.  He is an accomplished instructor and enjoys teaching very much.  

Jerry calls all programs through Challenge (C-1) and currently calls for a Plus club, an Advanced club, and a C-1 club.

Jerry travels extensively, has called throughout the United States, and has been on the staff of several square dance weekends, and many large festivals including the Texas Singles Convention, several National Conventions, and numerous state conventions.

In 1995 Jerry was elected to the CALLERLAB Board of Governors.  He is currently the  Executive Director of CALLERLAB.  He is recognized as a leader in CALLERLAB and in the Florida Square dance community.

As Chairman of the CALLERLAB Choreographic Applications Committee Jerry was very instrumental in developing and implementing the Standard Applications concept.  He compiled and edited the Standard Applications books and the Choreographic Guidelines manual for CALLERLAB.  Jerry also wrote a caller training pamphlet titled “Teaching Techniques”, available through the CALLERLAB office.

Jerry has served on several CALLERLAB committees and has been moderator and panelist for several CALLERLAB Convention interest sessions and caller training seminars at several National Square Dance Conventions.

Jerry is an accomplished caller/author with articles published in many square dance publications including American Square Dance Magazine, The Canadian Dancers, National Squares, Bow & Swing, and several caller note services.
